A Heroes Welcome
"In 1492 --( Christopher) Columbus sailed the ocean blue" That grade school ditty and a few cracks on his later career is the extent of knowledge that many Columbus, Ohio residents have of our namesake. I open the "HeroTown" series with a link to additional information on this courageous, visionary ( and very flawed) super hero.
For his secret origins turn in the direction of good history books that paint a picture of a complex individual. Now it is time for the Columbus super heroes to share how they discovered their superpowers and describe an important guide, teacher, guru who acted as a mentor.

I have been talking with native heroes about their stories. I am excited to see
Passionate Users doing an interesting take on hero talk and superstories.

Hero Towns
Columbus , Ohio is my current favorite Hero Town. Having kids lead me to a T.V. Hero Town that features the musical stylings of "They Might Be Giants"

Home Town Heroes
SuperVision is a site dedicated to the heroic effort it takes to make a living while making meaning. Worthwhile Magazine's tag line is "purpose, passion & profit" --that really nails my mission to the wall.
Prompted by a wise idea guy I am presenting a series of Columbus, Ohio "Hometown Heroes" their superpowers (we all have them) a exceptional person that is a mentor in the development of those talents.
All Heroes are from Columbus or claim it as home. I am excited to host heroes and learn more about our local heroes.
